Step 1: Solar Panels
How do solar panels work?
A solar panel works by generating electricity when particles of sunlight, or photons, knock electrons free from atoms, setting them in motion. This flow of electrons is electricity, and solar panels are designed to capture this flow, turning it into a usable electric current.

When you produce more electricity than you use it will be credited into your virtual “Energy Bank” with your utility company.

Site Survey
This is a quick and easy process that you or your representative can perform. The first step is to take photos around your home of things like your roof, utility meter, electrical panel, and where you would like to install the solar panels.
Design & Engineering
After the site survey is complete, our design team will gather all the information from the site survey, your capacity needs, and your design preferences to put together the final plans for your system. We will notify you if we need additional documents or signatures.
Permitting & Interconnection
We help you get through all of the state and municipal approvals and paperwork. Assuming that we have all of the signatures needed to move forward, we will work to get your permits from the town and your interconnection approvals from the utility company. Timelines vary based on your town and utility company.
Installation
After the permits have been approved, we will schedule an installation date to visit your home and install solar equipments. The installation usually takes 1-2 days.
Inspection
After installation, we will work with your local government to schedule a final inspection to ensure the installation is in compliance with local regulations.
Permission to Operate
After receiving all necessary local government approvals, we will apply for a PTO from your local utility company. This generally involves an application, inspection of the site, installation of a new bi-directional energy meter (capable of tracking both the energy you produce and the energy you use), and final approval. Once this is completed, you can begin saving money with the solar energy you produce.
Most customers have a 7-year return, however, the decision to go solar is not only financially smart, but the most impactful reason why most people go solar is the energy independence. The fact you can stop renting your power, and have the opportunity to own your power for zero down, combined with the equity increase on the property, Depreciation benefits for tax purposes, and savings from day 1, makes it an absolute no brainer.
Absolutely, you have the ability to go solar without putting $1 single dollar down, no tricks. All you need is to be the property owner, a roof in good conditions, and an acceptable credit score, to become your own independent energy company!
Great questions, actually your solar system will provide you an equity increase on your property (Zillow article link https://www.zillow.com/research/solar-panels-house-sell-more-23798/) Also, there’s no lien on your property, no prepayment penalties, and the loan is fully transferable. There’s a UCC1 note on the solar equipment until you pay it, but your home is free of liens. When the time comes you would reach out to your financier and request to transfer the system to the new homeowner, and in just a few minutes your solar system can get transferred to the new homeowner.
The tier 1 solar panels we use are the absolute best panels you can find in the market, with international ratings to withstand extreme conditions, including hail storms. With an Inclusive 25-year product warranty and 25-year linear performance warranty, and a High-tech aluminium alloy frame, certified for high snow (5400 Pa) and wind loads (4000 Pa).
